New Policy from EPSDD makes on-sale of Land more difficult

The change introduced by EPSDD prohibits a buyer from applying for consent to transfer the land under section 298 before reaching settlement with the SLA.

This change is significant and will affect persons buying a vacant block from the SLA who wish to then “on-sell” that land to a third party, as that person will need to settle (i.e. pay for the crown lease) before they can apply for Ministerial Consent to transfer the Land.
